Both are enclosed CoreXY-class machines with heated chambers and 370°C hotends. They differ mainly in build volume, price and one important fact: QIDI now lists the Plus 4 as discontinued. This sheet lines up the official figures.
Prices and availability checked on 2026-10-16; they may change. Prices in US dollars on qidi3d.com.

Want the larger bed? Look at the Plus5 listing, QIDI's stated successor.
See the Plus5Choose the Q2 if you print small to medium parts, such as brackets, enclosures and functional prototypes, and want the lowest entry price with filtration and a heated chamber. Its 270 mm footprint also needs less desk space: QIDI lists 402 × 438 mm and suggests leaving extra clearance at the back, sides and top.
Choose the Plus family if the extra 35 mm per side matters, for example for larger jigs or longer parts. Because the Plus 4 is discontinued, new buyers are pointed to the Plus5, so the practical Q2-vs-Plus choice today is Q2 against Plus5, with the Plus 4 relevant mainly for used units or remaining stock.
Both support engineering filaments in principle: the Q2 page lists PLA, ABS, ASA, PETG, TPU, PA, PC and carbon or glass-fibre reinforced materials with its bimetal nozzle. As always, a 370°C hotend and 65°C chamber only help if your filament and settings suit the job.
QIDI marks it as discontinued and unavailable on its page and recommends the Plus5.
The Combo bundles extras (QIDI lists $649 for Q2 Combo vs $499 base). Check the product page for what the bundle includes.
Yes, through the separate QIDI Box multi-colour unit, according to QIDI.
QIDI Studio is listed, with third-party options such as OrcaSlicer and PrusaSlicer.
