Versa Gripps makes padded, strap-on grips that attach at the wrist and sit across the palm. According to the brand, they are designed to remove grip strength as the limiting factor in a set, with a quick-release design that lets you drop the bar and move between pushing and pulling exercises. The company says its grips replace the need for gloves, lifting straps, wrist wraps and hooks.
The store currently lists several grip families that differ mainly in grip length, material and price. The new-colour emails and store listings also show fresh shades on Pro, Pro Plus and FitPro, such as Olive and Mocha for Pro Plus and Dusty Sage and Red Ember for FitPro.
Classic is the entry model. The product page describes it for athletes who lift lower weights or train a few times a week, with a shorter 5.75" palm piece and a textured (not the brand's non-slip) material.
Pro is the long-running core model with a 6.25" grip length and built-in wrist support. FitPro keeps the same length but, per the brand, uses 20% softer foam and more supple webbing, and is pitched to female athletes.
Xtreme adds the patented U-shaped carpal bridge that the brand says redirects pressure from the bar to the outer areas of the hand. Pro Plus and Xtreme Plus add 0.5" of grip length for larger hands or thicker bars such as axle bars. RP by Versa Gripps is a self-supported grip aimed at isolating the working muscle, with a 6.25" grip length.
The Classic is the lowest-priced grip at $49.99 on the official store at the time of checking.
Per the brand, Pro Plus and Xtreme Plus add 0.5" of grip length for larger hands or thicker bars.
The store sizes by wrist circumference, from Extra Small (5–6 inch) up to Extra Large (8+ inch) on most models. Check the size chart on the product page.
Yes. The VG Hyperbelt is listed at $89.99 with 6" of support and is described as a belt for the whole session rather than one-rep maxes.
